Ból Chumann’s Ladies committee have put in place competitions for senior and intermediate graded players to be run off over the winter months. The Gretta Cormican Cup, a long-time staple of Queen of the Roads qualifiers, will not, given time constraints, be part of the Ballincurrig festival this year, but will be presented to the winner of the senior ladies competition. The first-round fixture, Carmel Carey v Veronica O’Mahony, is a repeat of the recent county final but will be staged this time at Grenagh. Veronica O’Mahony will be hoping for better luck this time.
