What a fantastic weekend of Bowling was had at the 37th King of the roads and the 27th Queen of the roads, from the raising of the Blood Red Flag and the singing of Our Blood Red Flag song by the children from the Ballincurrig National School led by Mo O'Connor, to all the wonderful scores that were played with some exciting finishes, to our Kind David and Queen Silke who have now both claimed 6 titles each a very well done. To Donal O'Riordan who won the Jim O'Driscoll Cup in a very exciting finish well done. And to all the other Winners of the various tournaments well done to all, thank you to our euro Dutch & German friends who made the trip, you add beautiful colour to the weekend every year well done. To Seamus O'Tuama and his organising commitee, what can we say, but a huge maith sibh féin. Every time I looked Mickey Hurley & Pat Scanlon was in the Briars looking for a bowl, only mighty stuff lads. All to be done again in 2023.
