Ból Fada 2022

Bol Fada makes a welcome return at Keady-Tassagh and Markethill on this Easter weekend. After a two-year hiatus a fine line-up of scores marks the twenty-seventh hosting since the inaugural event in 1994. Always a magnet for the games best, Bol Fada ’22 is no exception. A ten-score programme contains champions from the 2020 All-Ireland and provincial series with the Joe McVeigh and Pete Grimley Cups featuring on top of the bill. The former sees David Murphy make his first appearance of ’22 in a must-see semi-final with All-Ireland champion, Arthur McDonagh. Ulster tyros, Thomas Mackle and Colm Rafferty meet in the second semi with both scores on Saturday. The Pete Grimley Cup on Sunday morning is a re-match of John O’Rourke and Mark Toal. The Corkman, O’Rourke is two up in their head to heads after All-Ireland intermediate and O’Driscoll Cup King of the Roads victories, but Toal will be gunning for a home win and has the ability to turn the tables. Bol Fada opens on Friday with another set-to between the games top two under-age talents, Caoimhe Rafferty and Ellen Sexton
